bought a "prodia" tv and finally had it delivered yesterday. and then there was this red dot on the screen. then took it to the shop today and got it changed and took it home... and there was this GREEN dot on the screen. going to take it back a second time and hopefully there won't be dots....

i can't change it for another model today cos they can't process the previous card payment to make the return...

should have just paid for a better brand :(

I installed my own toilet today!

YEPS! I installed my own washlet today! (Actually washlet is a TOTO trademark. i have an INAX which calls it shower toilet.) Yayyyy!! Now shitting is more comfortable than ever! Next i just need comfortable hotel-toilet music...

i have my (panasonic, same as my phone!) audio playing jazz and yellow lights on and the room smells of a mix of the lavender from the incense which i don't even need to burn and the smell of grasslands from the tatami from the next room. i just wanna sit here and do nothing!

bought furniture

but still short of dining table and something for clothes. but forgot that in yellow light, brown looks like purple, so my brown print on my curtain doesn't quite match my beige carpet. but the beige carpert is really nice to lie on! i could sleep on this! haha...

stepping out makes me ask myself, if i have learnt enough from my parents in the last 30 years, to do what they have done. nothing is so easy, even when everything seems to be working out. but the good thing is i'm slowing getting acclimatized. mornings are not as difficult, day by day. trying to sleep more and give my body extra space to adjust. it's getting warmer every week, but sometimes it suddenly rains and gets all cold again.

tv and washing machine and all are coming the week after. lights are coming on monday - but i did bring back two small lamps so that i have some light in the mean time. they look like... the ikea paper lights my sis gave me except, nicer! haha. i'll get pictures when i finally get my super-power-handphone. for now i don't have any table so it's on the floor all the time.

work is busy as usual. and a bit stressful cos of everything happening. hopefully i can get more settled when my furniture moves in with me. did think that i was going to go without TV but it does seem a bit odd not to have a TV anywhere at all...

got my keys, but no lights so tonight still bunking. but i love my place! ^^

Sunday was...

Waking up late, then shopping for electronics, buying 2 thumbdrives and a sony walkman mp3 player which u need to use their software to transfer music, watching a whole group of grannies eat at starbucks, and wrapping up with yakiniku. kinda spent... yes, the money too...

handicap-awareness day

it must be handicap awareness day or something cos today i saw:

1. Wheelchair boarding the bus
   The driver came down the buss to get the ramp and help the passenger get on the bus! Oh and the bus actually has space for 2 wheelchairs!
   
2. Two deaf persons swimming at the pool.
   The entire family of one of them... swam butterfly!
   

Oh ya did i mention that the pools here have different types of lanes? You have the lap lanes, the slow-swim lanes, the free lanes, and... the walking lanes! Today halfway through a whole class of students came in and took up 4 lanes... why do they all seem so fit or is it just the swim team?

Just had dinner at this new cafe nearby. There's a live concert going on there but I just had my meal... felt kinda sorry I didn't go for the live band cos the place seemed really quiet, but my meal came up to the same price as the cover charge!

hotel getaway

Friend I'm bunking with is on business trip, so took the chance to check myself into a ryokan for the night. It's much neater than I had thought and the bath really took all the stress away ^^ looks like I could be coming back here again :)

Started cycling to work. Bicycles go on the pedestrian path here. Can't wait to get my keys next week!

First night at colleague's place and stealing internet :P and finally on my own bed! Kinda relieved. Can't wait to move into my own apartment.
